The annual stocking of tilapia into Lake Interlochen was done May 3. As in previous years, these hungry vegetarian fish are searching the waterways for algae for feasting. They will eat, spawn, and repeat from now until the water temperature drops below 55 degrees. The tilapia then become tasty treats for the lake’s bass, catfish, and other species. HOA water committee chairman Tony Lester and director Ken Seipel dumped 155 pounds of tilapia in various spots in the lake.
