Secretary:

The last meeting minutes were approved by an online vote and posted to the website. We have renewed our online domain name and web hosting for another year. The digital directory has had its mid-year update. Next update again before being distributed by email by the end of the year.

Financials:

Two households still have not paid their dues for 2025. Liens will be filed. The board has been trying to minimize expenses due to the costs associated with the dam repairs. In light of the dam repairs, the Board voted unanimously for a 10% increase in the 2026 dues to help cover additional costs that have risen from this project.

Architectural Committee:

  • Four projects have received approvals.
  • 1105 San Juan- remodeling backyard and pool area
  • 1308 Crowley- Exterior painting and a new roof
  • 804 Loch Lomond- Exterior painting and dock replacement
  • 1014 Loch Lomond- Exterior painting

Please remember that all exterior projects need to be approved by the ACC before work begins.

Water Committee:

There have been several attempts to repair the Old Channel fountain. It is assumed to have something to do with in the electrical wires connecting it. The investigation and repairs are ongoing.

Duckweed is still a problem this late in the season. Please do not blow grass cuttings into the Lake.

Many homes have low hanging branches and broken branches that are reaching the water. We ask everyone to please check your shoreline to be sure your trees are more than 10 feet above the water line. The water committee will be compiling a list of homes that need trimming and branch removal. Individual homeowners will be notified of work that needs to be done at these locations.

Beaver damage was reported in May at 1100 Crowley and again in July at 1103 Montreau Ct. However, there have not been any other reports of damage or beaver sightings since those two incidents and no traps have been set.

Mark Ashmead has been volunteering on the water committee for several months and the Board voted unanimously to bring him onto the Board to filling a vacant seat.

New Business:

National Night Out will be Tuesday October 7th. This is your chance to come out and meet your Police team as well as your neighbors.

Noelle Slater continues to work on the “Holiday Lights Project.” She and her team have been collecting lights and decorations for our celebration of the 50th Anniversary of the Interlochen lights. More information to follow as the season approaches.

Our next HOA meeting is scheduled for January 13th, 2026.

Meeting was adjourned at 9:10pm.
