President Sobel called the meeting to order at 7 p.m.
Minutes from the last Board meeting on March 14, 2022 were approved.

Loch Lomond resident Simek requested the Board reverse its approval of the action taken to remove tree limbs that had fallen from his property into the waterway creating hazards and assessing a $250 fee for the time and labor. The Board, in an 8 – 1 vote, decided not to reverse its decision. Debbie Simek suggested that a survey be conducted of HOA members regarding future directions. The Board will study her proposal, but disagreed with her premise that our current by-laws and covenants were inadequate for the future of the HOA and that major changes were needed.

Montreau resident Jenkins suggested the Board add to the covenants restrictions against blowing grass clippings into the lake and fines to be assessed. The Board will discuss this further. Directors clarified that the 18-foot maximum boat length, a recent covenants amendment, is the length of a boat’s deck.

Treasurer Turner reported expenses for January to April 22 at $25,080. Assets were $190,231 on April 30.

Water Committee member DeVries said the highest priority is repairing damage to the HOA dam on Rush Creek. Work is scheduled this week. He reported the lake was stocked with 155 pounds of tilapia, approximately 465 fish, on April 28 for algae control. Result of water testing was excellent. In addition to the standard test for e-coli, a special oxygen percentage test showed oxygen levels within normal range.

Architectural Committee Chair Cubbage reported approval of a painting project and advising homeowner of required city approvals for an outdoor bathroom prior to plans being submitted to her committee. She is drafting text for an addition to the covenants regarding solar panels and generators; the Board will discuss at an upcoming meeting.

It was announced that this year’s Independence Day Boat Parade would be held on Monday July 4th.

The next Board meeting was set for July 18. The meeting adjourned at 9 p.m.
