4th of July Parade – 2024
July 4 @ 7:00 am - 8:30 pm
18th Annual
Lake Interlochen Independence Day Boat Parade
Decorate your boat and be part of the parade or
Have a party and cheer the boats from your home or yard.
Boat Line-up: 6:50-7:00 p.m.
Boats should gather in the vicinity of the dock at 1415 Porto Bello Ct. in the Middle Channel near the Watkins gazebo. Parade begins after the National Anthem.
Parade: 7:00-8:00 p.m.
We are very pleased that this year’s Grand Marshal is Tony Lester.
Parade music will come from the lead boat to be followed by the Grand Marshal boat. Boats are asked to parade behind the Grand Marshal boat. The parade will head toward Westwood, make a u-turn, and head back toward the Lake.
Boats are asked to parade in a single-line form and remain behind the Grand Marshal boat. Please keep a safe distance between the boat in front of and behind your boat. The parade route has been designed so boats do not have to crisscross during the parade.
Boats will parade slowly down the canals so neighbors can enjoy the parade from their homes and yards. There will be people watching from inside their homes (that you may not see from your boat) and there will be people watching and cheering in their yards.
Ringing of bells, blowing of horns, waving of flags, etc. from boats and yards encouraged along the parade route.
Help us make this our biggest and best parade in 19 years.
